My favorite way to photograph people is in a familiar environment where they are most comfortable. I love to be able to spend a couple of hours with a family, following children playing with pets, climbing on the rocks at the shore or in the back yard. I prefer to work with natural light whenever possible using black and white and color film. I try to blend in with the surroundings and catch people doing what they enjoy and not thinking about being photographed. People always look best when they are relaxed and comfortable.
